There are situations in which you may want to capture your desktop. The time-tested method of capturing images displayed on your Windows desktop is to press the Print Screen button, then launch an image edition application (most likely Paint since it comes bundled with the Windows operating system) and paste the captured image into the application. That’s the low-tech way to go about things. If you want to capture the desktop in a more efficient way, you will need a professional tool that will capture anything on the screen – this includes scrolling areas, dropdown menus, tool tops, mouse pointers, screensavers, audio and video.
